{ artist bio }

Luis Castillo was born and raised in Valencia, Venezuela. At age 16 he earned a black belt in Shotokan Karate, and a year later he was awarded a scholarship to pursue his undergraduate studies in the US.

{ artist statement }

The world we live in influences our behavior, moods, and beliefs in ways oh which we are often unaware. Worry about the wars in the middle East, economic recession, uncertainty about jobs, housing and personal safety....
